Refrigerant certification testing is conducted through the ESCO Institute Program. The test is approved by the Federal EPA and covers Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act. Students may purchase preparatory manuals prior to the test and will need a driver's license or photo ID to take the exam. Technicians who have partial certification under another testing agency but wish to obtain additional certification must bring proof of their original certification.
