Official GED® Test
Ohio recognizes the GED® examination as being the equivalent of a high school diploma. Like a regular high school diploma, the GED® diploma enables the holder the opportunity to obtain employment, apply for career advancement, pursue higher education goals, or to reach a personal goal.
The Official GED® Test is administered at PearsonVue Testing Centers. All GED® testing is done by appointment only. Appointments are made on-line after completing an on-line registration at
www.GED.com
. The fee for the test is $120.
Preparing for the Test
The
Aspire
program is here to help you prepare for the high school equivalence test (ie. GED) with our free classes. Students that attend at least 12 hours of instruction may be eligible to receive a voucher for a FREE official GED® practice test, which normally costs $6 per subject through the official GED® Website
www.GED.com
.
Age Eligibility
Students that are 18 or younger must provide an official withdrawal form from the last school attended. Students that are 16 or 17 must also provide parental consent. Please review age requirements for the official GED® test on the Ohio Department of Education website
