This exciting, fast-paced program prepares students for a career in the medical field directly after high school or after additional education and/or training. In the second year of the program, students have the option of a cooperative work experience or a mentoring and college work experience if they meet the criterion.

Enrollment Requirements:

- 8 credits required for admission
- Senior year - job in a health field
- Uniforms per specified program
- Preference in admission will be given to students who are on track for graduation,
   passed Biology with a “C” or better, and cumulative GPA of 2.5 or better

Nurse Aide State Test

CPR Certification
First Aid Certification

Clinicals at nursing home
State Testing Nursing Assistant (STNA)

Articulation Agreements/Tech Prep/Dual Enrollment Opportunities:
Dual enrollment offered to qualified students with Northwest State
   Community College for academic courses
College credit offered senior year in General Psychology, Human Growth,
   and Development, and College Algebra

Further Education:
- Two- or four-year technical degree in many areas of the medical field,
   including registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, radiological technician,
   lab assistant and physical therapy
- Entry level positions available upon graduation include nurse’s aide,
   dental assistant, and pharmacy assistant
