Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Is there a deadline for when I can sign up for classes?
A: For Career Enhancement program ONLY--If space is still available in a class, registrations are taken until the first day of the class. However, we encourage you to sign up at least 10 days before the start day of the class. For Career Development programs individuals must have taken their Career Readiness Credential (WorkKeys) Assessments prior to registering. However, as long as space in the class is availble individuals may register up to the first day of class.

Q: When is your registration office open?
A: The Adult Workforce Education Division of Four County Career Center is open Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00pm. During the summer we are open Monday - Thursday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. We are closed on Fridays.

Q: Do you offer financial aid?
A: No, at this time we do not have any programs that qualify for financial aid. However, financial aid is available through several other sources for qualified individuals: Department of Job and Family Services, Veterans Administration, Bureau of Vocation Rehabilitation, Workforce Investment Act (WIA), or TAA. Stop into your local One Stop Employment and Training Center to see if you qualify.
Note: Each source of aid has its own specific guidelines concerning eligibility.

Q: Do I need a High School Diploma or GED to attend any of you classes?
A: Some Public Safety courses require a HS Diploma or GED, but our other courses do not. However, we strongly encourage students to pursue their Diploma or GED regardless of whether it is required.

Q: Will I still have class if Four County is closed due to weather?
A: If Four County is closed during the day, adult classes are automatically canceled.

Q: When I come to class, where should I park?
A: There is ample parking in the West parking lot (you will see a new awning for Adult Workforce Education). However, between 9:00am and 3:00pm all doors are locked accept the front entrance doors. If your class meets between that time, please be aware that you will have to walk around to the front or will need to park out front.

Q: I am registered for an Adult Workforce Education class. Where do I go on the first day?
A: You will need to go to the Adult Workforce Education Office (located on the West side of the building).

Q: Do you have job placement?
A: We are not a placement agency; however, we will advise you during your job search.
