program links)
In addition, the
Adult
Workforce Education
department
offers a multitude of specialty and
general education courses which are
available to the public.
Four County Career
Center offers skill training in the
fastest growing careers.
Any student from the 22
member schools that has completed two
years of high school
and who will have at least eight credits
on transcript prior to the start of his
or her
junior year can apply to Four County
Career Center. Students should check
with their
guidance counselor for any additional
program prerequisites and acquire an
application for admission.
Class fees and equipment
expenses vary by career and technical
program. Students
will receive a cost sheet along with
their schedule in the summer.
School hours are 9:00
a.m. to 3:00 p.m. All member school
districts provide
transportation for their students.
In support of
career-technical education’s primary
goal of preparing students for
successful employment, Four County
Career Center provides job placement
services,
as well as advanced placement for
qualified students.
Upon successful completion of a
career & technical program, students
will receive a
Career Passport. The Career Passport is
a document designed to help students
make a smooth transition to the next
step beyond high school. It represents a
credential of the student’s abilities
and contains an official school
transcript, resume, letters of
recommendation, and a list of
competencies that the student has
achieved. Parents
and employers alike have found the
Career Passport valuable in job
networking and
college planning.
